CEN Business Challenge
(CBC)

Hosted by China Entrepreneur Network (CENUW)

Are You Ready To Change The World?

CEN business challenge (CBC) is a month-long entrepreneurship challenge dedicated to simulating a real business environment for students with entrepreneurial ideas. Participants work as a team (3 - 6 people) and gain experience through teamwork and meetings with entrepreneurial mentors from all walks of life. In this process, they will have a comprehensive understanding of the needs and challenges of the target market and explore step by step in an uncertain and rapidly changing environment. Finally, they are able to find a path suitable for the survival and development of their business plan, establish business contacts with potential partners, and ultimately obtain financial support from investors.

CBC consists of 4 optional training sessions and a Final Pitch Day to empower student entrepreneurs with valuable opportunities to refine and showcase their entrepreneurship skills. In the past 10 years at UW, CBC has attracted over 500 professional startup teams and created a powerful platform for building connections among entrepreneurial students, advisors, and investors. As the momentum of startup and innovation continues to surge in the Greater Seattle region, CBC plays a vital role in inspiring, developing , and retaining talented entrepreneurs who will positively impact the world.

CEN Annual Event Recap (2023 - 2024)

Dinner With Professionals (DWP) is an event dedicated to exposing students to a wide range of information about various sectors of society. It has been successfully held for 9 years now, with more than 1,000 students socializing with various industry leaders to help students take their first steps into the job market. We extend invitations to industry leaders from popular interdisciplinary fields, including finance, data science, engineering, and etc, representing renowned companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, EY, and Deloitte, and etc. These guests help participants with learning about the industry inside out, providing students with precise insights into cutting-edge industry job-seeking techniques and invaluable glimpses into the real life of the workplace.

As a live job-hunting show, WE WANT YOU provides a great opportunity for students with big aspirations to find internships,  jobs or even a returning interview offer. We want to make it interesting and memorable not just for the students who are applying for jobs, but also for the freshmen with zero experience to learn about the job-hunting experience by watching from their upperclassmen during their interviews on stage. We want to help more students to be better prepared before the formal job hunting period begins, and we also hope to provide more opportunities for excellent students who are already well prepared to show themselves, making the road of job hunting to become an unforgettable experience in everyone's life.
